Who says you can’t have fun AND be responsible?

Sometimes we don’t take life quite too seriously, but there’s no joking around when it comes to the quality and ingredients in our products. Wherever possible, we use natural and vegan ingredients in our products, and it is particularly important to us that our ingredients are safe for people, animals and the environment.

The health of our customers is our top priority

We carefully check all products and raw materials for their safety, quality and sustainability. Our demands go far beyond the legal requirements.

We have already analyzed 1,606 raw materials for these aspects and derived a strict negative list of raw materials and ingredients. This is how we create a holistic improvement of our entire range. We are convinced: only those who act responsibly can be successful in the long term.

Sustainable palm oil

Excessive and uncontrolled cultivation of palm oil plants endangers the ecosystem in the rainforest area. In order to preserve nature in the growing regions, as a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), we support the sustainable cultivation of palm oil. We fully compensate for the amounts of palm oil, palm kernel oil and their derivatives we use with RSPO credits from independent farmers.

We have been offsetting 100% of our palm oil with smallholder certificates since 2020.

Alternatives to microplastic particles

Microplastic particles are tiny plastic particles that enter the oceans via the water cycle and pollute the environment. We are constantly researching natural, biological alternatives for the part of our products that still contain microplastic particles. Since January 2020 we have been developing our new product innovations completely free of microplastic particles.

Since March 2023, our entire product range has been completely free of microplastic particles.

Transparency with mica suppliers

The raw material mica – also known as mica – is a natural rock that is often mined under difficult conditions in mines. We are involved in the cross-industry Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) to bring about rapid and comprehensive improvements for local families and especially children.

We are also conducting strict monitoring of our Mica supply chain (Mica Supply Chain Mapping) in order to achieve 100% transparency in our supply chain by 2023. All stations of the pigments are traced back to the mine and checked. We only work with suppliers who meet our high standards of transparency.

Zero waste

The less material we use for our packaging, the more energy and emissions we can save. That is why we have made very specific improvements for the development of new packaging.

Our goal: We want to use up to 30% less packaging material by 2025.

The use of recyclates is also good for the climate and the environment, i.e. plastics that have already had at least one β€œlife” behind them and that – after being processed – can be reused. Some of our products are already partially packaged with recycled material. The use of recyclates can save up to 80% energy and 60% CO2 emissions in the long term.

Our goal: by 2025 we want to make at least 50% of our packaging from recyclates.
